While visiting and traveling with her wheelchair bound mother, Dr. Cynthia Cohen was inspired to invent the LiftVest. She received a patent (U.S. Pat. No. 6122,778) in 1999, and soon after began producing the LiftVest transfer aid.
LiftVests were designed to allow caregivers to minimize injury to themselves and their patients while routinely transferring and safely repositioning patients throughout the day. Today, LiftVests can be found in homes and healthcare facilities around the world.
LiftVest was honored with the 2005 Caregiver Friendly Award and 2006 Most Innovative New Product Award at the Safe Patient Handling and Movement Conference.
LiftVest is a family-run business and all LiftVests are manufactured in the United States.
Here’s what customers are saying.
